In celebration of International Women's Day on March 8th, Dignity not Despair will be partnering with Interfaith Refugee and Immigration Service (IRIS) here in Los Angeles to put on a "day of pampering" for refugee women.  Each woman will receive a makeover by a profession makeup artist to help them feel welcome and special, after an arduous and often times traumatic journey.  A kids table will be set up with crafts and games so the women can bring their children to the event.

 

We are looking for volunteers for the day of the event to:

-help set up and clean up

-translate Spanish

-spend time with the children at the kids table

-we are also still looking for professional hairdresser and makeup artist volunteers
